I have recently been getting orders to customise semi-precious stone jewellery, with orders coming since pre-cny!

So.. spent a large amount of time yesterday trying to finish as many as possible.

Here's two of the pieces I am extremely happy with!

Made this for a customer who wanted a semi-precious stone bracelet...and by far... this is the creation I am most pleased with.

This customised piece is made with 14k coated gold findings, with Green Quartz faceted brioletts, cream rose swarovski pearls, round swarovski crystals and light topaz bicone crystals.

Remakes available. This piece costs S$48.00.

Well, we have decided to pull down our UrbanNook.com website and concentrate building our little business on this blog instead. We have done a redirection of the url, so you will not be lost when you do visit UrbanNook.com.

Holding a day job and needing to manage an e-commerce website is quite an impossible feat for me at this point in time. BUT..... I want to continue bring to all of you my crafts, as well as my unique finds. Hence, it only makes sense to spend time making lovelies... rather than go through the tedious process of never ending picture editing...and never ending loading of pictures on Joomla!

Am currently trying to migrate items over slowly, and in my few days of hospitalisation leave, I have managed to create some pretty necklaces, which i will load up this weekend.

I hope everyone to continue to support us... and we promise... there will be more good things to come!

I realised I have been neglecting UrbanNook for close to 6 months. I almost forgot how happy and at peace i am with myself when i pick up my tools. If a friend of mine have not requested me to make something for a wedding she’s going to attend in June… I would have left my tools to rust…
That aside… I am back to delight.

Well…I have always liked pretty lanyards with pearls and crystals. Was given one a few years back, but it broke as the quality of the chain was not very good.
So, now that I am in this business, seeing the infinite possibilities of lining up different pretty stones and beads make me itch to make an accessory out of an everyday “necessity”.

Bestie brought me to a shop near her place where I can get a good range of charms and beads.

It’s like a handmade jeweler’s paradise! I found little knick knacks…fun and sassy charms that will add so much zest to my designs…

Spent more than an hour in there…. and came out with bags and bags of semi precious stones… plus lots of rhodium charms. Of course… i became a tad poorer too!

Can’t wait to get my hands on all these pretty little things… and work my magic on them!

We had a good start in July, with lots of visits to our website…. and of cos sales that was better than what we expected.

After months of preparation, UrbanNook is finally open.

The inspiration to start this shop came about last christmas. I hate shopping with the crowds... yet i needed to seriously look for pressies for my girlies...so i started searching online for accessories.

There are many great online shopping sites online... but I was not able to find many accessories that's suitable for everyday wear.... and most importantly... @ an affordable price.

So... here I psychoed my dearest Hubz to go into this venture .... sourcing... making.... working on the hardcoding of the site.....

And... here we are! Bringing girls from as young as 18... to whatever age... chic and affordable accessories!
